En wat als

We will create an interdisciplinary performance that merges dance and physical theater. The performance will include challenging and nuanced choreography mixed with theatrical imagery. En wat als shows situations that could have happened if you had made or not made certain choices, with the possible outcomes of those choices. Situations (and feelings) that you experience for the first time as a young adult: entering into a love relationship, breaking it up and figuring out how to move on. Going on a journey alone, rediscovering and rebuilding yourself. We use techniques such as: contemporary, partnering, floorwork, acrobatics and physical theater. We look for lightness and humor. We work from improvisation but also with learned dance material. Everyone is 'co-creator': we make our own solos, duets and trios inspired by the theme. An ode to growing up, making choices and (having to) accept the outcome.
